Inglaterra
Established in 1875, this intimate and
newly renovated hotel is Cuba’s longest serving and is designated as a
national monument for its architectural as well as its historical
importance. Its perfectly preserved colonial architecture and its Spanish
aura make it a must see - whether or not you stay there (don't miss the
lobby's intricate Andalusian-Moorish tile work). It is in a superb location
on the lively Parque Central. Air-conditioned rooms have private bathroom,
telephone, radio and satellite TV. Enjoy special seasonal menus served in
the restaurant (with Seville ceramics, palm trees and stained glass) or
relax in the excellent piano bar and nightclub. Other facilities include
shops, currency exchange and tourism bureau. At night, the rooftop bar
provides a stunning view of the floodlit Gran Teatro and Capitolismo. One of
Havana's most sought after hotels. No pool. |
