Hotel Presidente (4 star)

Recently remodeled.  Has 160 rooms.  It has a swimming pool and 10th floor bar.  It was closed for total remodeling in the year 2000 and just reopened in mid 2001.

This beautiful 10 story, 160 room, maroon and pink property was built in 1928 and totally refurbished in 1999. It is located in a quiet setting near the Casa de los Americas and the Malecon, away from most of the action. The sumptuous 1930's art deco-style furnishings, impressive lobby and overall sense of style makes up for this slight inconvenience. 160 air conditioned rooms with satellite TV, 10 suites. Rooms are not very large but they are pleasant and tastefully decorated. It has good food and service. Swimming pool.
